In years past we’ve seen brands like M&M’s and Amazon shell out millions of dollars for commercial spots, but brands like these are not the only ones using the game for marketing efforts.
Brands both big and small can utilize this moment to promote products and services, so we’re sharing our top tips and guidelines to ensure you’re following the proper methods of marketing around the game.

- Do not use the words Super Bowl or Super Sunday
- Avoid using specific team names
- Do not use or include the NFL logo, Super Bowl logo, or any team logos in your creative
- Stay away from using any football player’s name
✅ WHAT YOU CAN INCLUDE: ✅
- You can say The Big Game or Big Game
- Stick to general football terms
- When designing, stick to generic football shapes and themes
- If mentioning a player, you can use their number
- To be safe, always include a disclosure along the lines of, “Not an official Sponsor of the NFL.”
